According to the market research company The NPD Group based in NY, member of Gen Z will eat out more than the generation of ahead of them. The bad news is the millennials will be transitioning to a stage of life seeing them eat at home more often.  However, this news does not need to be bad for restaurant operators. Just look at around and you will already notice several chains prepping to serve this up coming change.

The market research does not mention millennials won't be buying prepared food, just that they will be eating more ready to eat meals at home rather than in a restaurant. This is a growing trend that many think is just starting and will have legs for a long time. According to NPD foods that require zero prep are increasingly a part of what these consumers eat and home. Several large chains are attacking this trend with subscriptions, deliveries, grab-n-go store fronts and more.  Can you adapt your restaurant to offer in home replacement meals?
