Ghost Restaurants are rising up even in Seattle
Have you heard about the trend of Ghost Restaurants? Are you considering one? Are you a little afraid of them as competition? At the least it is an interesting concept made viable by the popular food delivery companies. Why not augment with your own delivery of your ghost restaurant menu too? Easy enough to get the word out via social media which is very cost effective.
Of course running a ghost kitchen is not for everyone, or is it?
You already have the kitchen right? So come up with some new menu items that you don't serve on the regular menu perhaps? Think about what delivers really well and has a low food cost? Teriyaki chicken delivers well and is very popular for the business lunch crowd. There are many dishes you could come up with. You would not need a huge menu just a few items that travel well. Come up with a trendy new name and get started. Maybe you don't want to operate your own ghost restaurant perhaps look into renting out your kitchen when your aren't open?
